crystals have been a beloved interest of mine since i was little. i don't do the whole mysticism thing with them, though; they're simply beautiful creations of the earth that sparkle and shine in ways that greatly pleases me. also so so many of them will kill you if you ingest them in literally any way and i'm not trying to win stupid prizes from stupid games.
unfortunately i'm not often able to expand my collection like i want to. the most recent additions have all been gifts from trips that other people have gone on, and depending on the quality and size of a stone these guys can get expensive. that being said i would still really like to go to a shop or event and personally pick some out myself again, sometime...it's been way too long.

regardless, my collection is still decently sizable. i hope you enjoy looking at them as much as i do!

note: stones are categorized from where they were bought from, not necessarily where they were mined.

Rough clear white crystal cluster.

virginia specimen #1

pretty sure this is just some classic clear quartz. i've also got some tiny little 'shards' that have chipped off of it over the years.

Rough orange crystal cluster.

virginia specimen #2

this one's eluded me for ages. orange citrine? orange river quartz? imperial topaz?? hematoid quartz??? no idea. this one has also had some bits pop off of it as time's gone on. (unfortunately...)

Rough white stone with light teal crystals.

virginia specimen #3

closest thing i've ever found to this is amazonite, but that still doesn't seem quite right. chunky fella.

Rough purple-red crystal cluster.

virginia specimen #4

this thing. either pyralspite garnet, rhodolite garnet, or a really weird amethyst. or a secret fourth thing

Rough banded orange-brown crystal.

virginia specimen #5

used to think this was a tiger's eye but lately i've been wondering if it's actually some type of sardonyx instead. >::?

Rough yellow stone.

virginia specimen #6

......orange calcite??? never been sure about this one

Polished clear crystal.

virginia specimen #7

clear quartz numbah 2

Polished brown glittery stone.
Gif showing how the previously mentioned stone glitters.

virginia specimen #8

das red goldstone babeyyyy. one of my favorites too; absolutely gorgeous piece.

like 90% sure this is selenite. i've always loved how loooong it is

Polished white stone with black veins.

e. coast beach specimen #1

good ole howlite, with some oopsie spots of yellow dye. the other side is a bit better in that regard.

Polished yellow stone with black veins.

e. coast beach specimen #2

howlite again, but yellow all over this time

Polished clear stone with green clusters inside.

e. coast beach specimen #3

pretty sure this is a moss agate! pictures cannot do it justice; the layers in it look like pure magic.

Polished purple-pink and white stone.

e. coast beach specimen #4

no idea what this is but it is beauuuutiful. i feel like i've seen some kind of quartz like it but the name escapes me.

Polished light green stone. Small polished light green stone.

e. coast beach specimen #5 and #6

some kind of jade? maybe??

Polished purple stone.

e. coast beach specimen #7

NO fuckin clue what this thang is. pretty sure it's color is dyed though

Polished green and red stones.

e. coast beach specimen #8 and #9

originally thought these two were dragon's blood jasper(and got VERY excited) but upon closer examination i'm pretty sure they're unakite jasper instead. still super beautiful stones!!

Polished red stone with black veins.

e. coast beach specimen #10

classic red jasper 👍. could also technically be specifically brecciated jasper but i doubt it

Polished white and purple stone.

e. coast beach specimen #11

i think this is amethyst lace agate? definitely some flavour of agate.

Polished orange-red stone with black and dark red veins.

e. coast beach specimen #12

this could be another dyed howlite for all i know. gorgeous colors regardless though.

Polished blue stone.

e. coast beach specimen #13

this thing is so weird and so blue i have no idea. maybe some kind of agate. turquoise??

Polished purple and green stone.

e. coast beach specimen #14

rainbow fluorite??? maybe???? iehhh?????

Polished silvery stone.

e. coast beach specimen #15

hematite my good friend hematite. at least i'm pretty sure.. very specific look about em

Polished blue-green stone with black veins. Polished blue-green stones.

e. coast beach specimen #16, #17, and #18

THESE FUCKING THINGS. no idea. not a single thought in my head when i look at them. is the first one yet another howlite in disguise?? who knows!!

Polished orange stone with black veins.

spiritual shop specimen #1

labelled 'jasper.' and it sure is! not 100% what exact kind though. maybe dendritic?

Polished dark brown to gold stone.

spiritual shop specimen #2

labelled 'tiger's eye.' correct!

Polished milky red and green stones.

spiritual shop specimen #3 and #4

both labelled 'bloodstone.' and they are fantastic. the 'milky' effect in them is soooo cool in person

Polished near-black stone.

spiritual shop specimen #5

labelled 'axinite.' seems accurate enough to me.

Polished green stone.

spiritual shop specimen #6

labelled 'epidote.' pretty sure, yeah.

Rough purple and green stone.

spiritual shop specimen #7

labelled 'fluorite.' i would say so; there's only a tiny bit, but there is some green on the bottom there.

Rough clear crystals.

spiritual shop specimen #8, #9, #10, and #11

all labelled 'petalite.' and man what i would give for a larger, natural chunk because holy shit there are some gorgeous examples when you look it up. these little guys are still nice tho; you can see a bit of it on the last two, but they do show some pretty nice dispersions at the right angle.

Polished white and blue stones with black specks.

spiritual shop specimen #12 and #13

both labelled 'k 2.' i had to look this up because i had NO earthly fucking idea what that meant. apparently granite with some azurite in it. fairly pretty!

Polished dark brown stone with blue and brown reflections.
Gif showing the previously mentioned stone's reflective colors.

spiritual shop specimen #14

labelled 'labradorite.' and what a piece of labradorite it is!!! another one of my favs by a long shot.

Polished clear white stone.

spiritual shop specimen #15

labelled 'smoky quartz.' ...i think. it either said smoky or clear quartz. idk it's been a while either way it's definitely some kinda quartz and it's also definitely SO beautiful omg. yet again the pictures do not do it any justice it looks so fucking cool.

Polished clear pink stone.

spiritual shop specimen #16

labelled 'rose quartz.' seems pretty accurate to me!

Polished green-gold stone.

spiritual shop specimen #17

SHOW ME POTATO PYRITE

Polished brown, yellow, and orange stone.

spiritual shop specimen #18

okay so. i can only assume this was the 'malachite' they cited, as every other stone had a name to it. and uhm. i'm not an expert by any means but. this thing is not malachite. idk what it is but it's not malachite. look at it. i would be quicker to suggest petrified wood or maybe even a particularly monochromatic opal
