IGNORE THE HASTILY-DRAWN MS PAINT GRAPHICS they're just placeholders. so i didn't procrastinate and fuss over something more polished for a million years, and never actually make the page LOL. one day they will be prettier. pixel clubs, or pixel cliques as they were known some years ago, are collections of pixel art based on a particular thing; usually animals, but not always. the basic idea is that someone will make a blank base for others to work from, and showcase all of the pieces together in one place, effectively a clubhouse of sorts. people don't have to use the base(s) offered, of course, just so long as the art they make is still related to the theme and of at least a similar image size to avoid wonky-looking grouping. people tend to call them clubs rather than cliques nowadays due to rules and the general atmosphere being a bit more relaxed than they used to be. as long as you link back to peoples' websites and don't hotlink images, then you're pretty much golden. above all, the goal is to have fun! i've been aware of pixel clubs and the like for quite a while, even years and years ago, but of course i didn't have my own page to put things on in order to properly participate. i'm very happy and excited to be able to do so now.
